BOLOGNESE WITH PASTA

Mo’s Tip: It is easy to batch and freeze the Bolognese, cooking pasta fresh as required.
For Modified Ketogenic Diet: Normal portion of bacon can be used and increase the amount of cheese to taste. The mini pasta shells can be replaced with ‘Miracle Noodles’ or ‘Shiritaki Noodles’ or even beaten egg which is fried into a very flat omelette and then shredded so it can be used in place of pasta and then serve with a green salad.
Ingredients
- 7g Butter
- 6g Cheese Mature Cheddar
- 50g Mushrooms, common, raw
- 23g Olive oil
- 25g Tomatoes, canned, whole contents
- 4g Mini Pasta Shells (from Boots Baby Food Dept)
- 6g Bacon rashers, streaky, raw
Instructions
- You will also new some GIA Garlic paste. 1g knorr stock cube dissolved in 30mls of water to make stock, a pinch of dried herbs
- Fry the chopped bacon in the butter
- Add the chopped mushrooms with dried herbs fry for 3 minutes
- Add the tomatoes, olive oil & GIA Garlic paste & stock
- Simmer for a few minutes
- Boil the mini pasta shells as directions. This is a small portion but looks better than one or two twirls!
- Place bolognese in a serving dish together with the pasta and fnely grated cheese
