CHICKEN PIE

This is quite rich and filling.
Ingredients
- 30g Mushrooms, common, raw
- 35g Double Cream Morrisons
- 15g Spring onions, bulbs and tops, raw
- 2g Mustard powder
- 9g Butter
- 11g Sunflower oil
- 16g Ultra Fine Fiberflour from Lonjevity Foods
- 20g Chicken, dark meat, roasted
Instructions
- You will also need some seasoning and water
- Pre-heat oven 180c/Fan 160c/Gas 5
- Start by making the pastry.
- Rub the butter into the flour & a pinch of salt. Mix with water. It will need approx 6 mls
- Form a dough cover it & leave to one side .
- Chop the onions & mushrooms and dice the chicken
- Fry the onion and mushroom in the oil for 2 mins
- Stir in the mustard powder & a little seasoning followed by the cream
- Add the chicken
- Place in a ramekin
- Roll the pastry between baking parchment to prevent sticking
- Form a lid. if you have any pastry over it can be used to decorate the top
- Brush with a little beaten egg or milk (optional)
- Cook in oven for approx 20mins
- This is quite rich & filling. The mustard can be omitted and replaced with a good pinch of dried herbs.
