This National Epilepsy Week, we are raising awareness of ketogenic dietary therapies as an effective treatment option for some people living with drug-resistant epilepsy 💜At Matthew's Friends, we support individuals, families, and healthcare professionals with education and guidance around ketogenic dietary therapies. For many people whose seizures cannot be controlled with medication alone, these therapies can help reduce seizure frequency and, in some cases, lead to significant improvements in quality of life. Ketogenic dietary therapies are evidence-based medical treatments that should always be undertaken with specialist clinical support.Drug-resistant epilepsy affects around 1 in 3 people with epilepsy, yet awareness of dietary therapy treatment options remains low.
