Moβs tip: You could add a little paprika for added flavour.
The cheese needs to be a strong one.
You could add 2g of parmesan if you have the protein allowance.
These are handy to have available at parties as a replacement to crisps etc.
Divide the total recipe by the number of straws you make to make it easier to
add to the daily meal allowance.
I made 20 pieces so 5 pieces will be: 5.95g fat / 2.0g protein / 0.87g CHO
Ingredients
- 17g Butter
- 15g Mature cheddar cheese
- 30g PANDA flour
- 8g Golden flaxseed flour β DHILLONS FLOUR MILL
- You will also need a pinch a salt and 50g of cold water.
Instructions
- Pre heat oven to 170c / fan 150c / gas 4
- Mix together the Panda flour and flaxseed with a tiny pinch of salt.
- Rub in the butter then stir in the FINELY grated cheese.
- Mix to a dough with approximately 50g of cold water, leave to rest for a few minutes.
- Roll out evenly, not too thin, between 2 pieces of parchment paper.
- Cut into even sized straws and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Cook for approximately 12 minutes.
