We have also borrowed this idea from a Keto friendly site – a bit fiddly but a good idea if you are patient and so inclined J
The basic idea is to take a pre-made advent calendar, remove the carby chocolates and then refill the plastic mould with Keto-friendly chocolate (recipe link below). Once the chocolate fat bomb mix has set, you will replace the plastic insert into the cardboard mould and you’re done.
- Carefully open the top or bottom of your advent calendar’s outer cardboard shell as neatly as possible as you will be replacing the plastic insert back in the shell at the end.
- Slide out the plastic insertthat holds the chocolates. Take care as sometimes the plastic insert is held to the cardboard with glue.
- Pop all the chocs out of the plastic.
- Make up a batch of the festive fat bomb recipe (link below) and use it to fill the empty chocolate moulds as carefully as possible, allow to cool. These are best stored in the fridge.
(Note, I tried this up to before the choc making stage with a Cadbury Dairy Milk calendar that was £1 from Morrison’s. Easy to get the end open and the inner tray out, however it’s covered in foil so it’ll probably be best to keep it horizontally in the fridge so the chocs don’t all slip down)
