Notes
Mo’s tip: These are a really good addition to a party without using up too much carb
allowance.
I made 7 so each one has: 4.32g fat / 0.99g protein / 0.013g CHO
Ingredients
- 60g Double cream - MORRISONS
- 56g Egg WHITE
- 50g SUKRIN icing – or a POWDERED sweetener of your choice
- You will also need ¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar, a tiny pinch of salt, some yellow food colouring (optional) some gold or silver edible glitter spray and some decorations.
- Reserve the cream.
- Pre heat oven to 130c / fan 110c / gas 2
Instructions
- Whisk the egg whites, icing sweetener, cream of tartar, yellow food colouring and a pinch of salt together until stiff.
- Place on non-stick parchment on a baking tray in circles to look like crowns. I made 7.
- Cook for approximately 40 minutes then turn off the oven and leave them there until absolutely cold – overnight is good if you can.
- When they are completely crisp and cold, spray then with some edible glitter. You can then keep these in a plastic container for up to a week.
- When you are ready to serve them, whisk the cream until thick, and divide between them, adding your decorations of choice. I bought cardboard ones from Amazon.
